The first thing you need to do is figure out what might be causing to be hypertensive. What is causing your high blood pressure. There are many reasons for hypertension from stress,to the foods you are eating. Check any medications you are taking. Some medicines can elevate your blood pressure. If you drink allot of alcohol this can be a problem. Some anti-inflammatory drugs can cause a rise in blood pressure. Stress is also a big cause of hypertension,so you need to reduce the stress in your life. If you are in a stressful situation you need to step back and take a deep breath and relax.
To reduce your blood pressure you need to make some life style changes. If you are over weight try and get on a healthy diet. You will need to limit your alcohol intake or quit drinking all together. If you put salt on your food you need to reduce the amount to about 6 grams per day. Make sure to take potassium,calcium,and magnesium this is important to help with any blood pressure issues. Stop smoking and reduce and saturated fat in your diet. Talk to your doctor about any high blood pressure medications that you can take.
